A range of activities
Jasmine Cottage, a self
contained holiday home in Martinborough, is set in a large secure
garden with verandahs, an arbour and different outdoor areas.
We have a range of activities at Jasmine Cottage or you can take
advantage of the nearby award winning vineyards, boutique shopping
and excellent cafes and restaurants.
ACTIVITIES AT JASMINE COTTAGE RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
Outdoor activities at the holiday house include equipment for
petanque, outdoor cricket and football with a barbeque to while
away the summer evenings.
As well, for those cosy winter afternoons or evenings snuggled
round the fire, we have puzzles, a chess set, backgammon, scrabble,
cards, games such as Pictionary, Balderdash and Lord of the Rings,
and a selection of books, CDs and of course television.
ACTIVITIES NEAR JASMINE COTTAGE
The self contained Cottage is surrounded by the Martinborough lanndscape
with views out to the hills and mountains from the upstairs. The
holiday home is the ideal base from which to explore Martinborough
and the surrounding Wairarapa, including Greytown.
This is one of New Zealand’s hottest growing wine producing
region with award-winning wineries and cafes. There are many vineyards
offering superb wines and enjoyable wine tasting.

There is a good golf
course within walking distance (Martinborough
Golf Course) and many others throughout the
Wairarapa including Carterton
Golf Club, Masterton
Golf Club and Mahunga
Cafes and restaurants
Discover excellent cafes and restaurants, where menus make the most
of local produce. Many vineyards have vineyard cafes where you can
make the most of the settled weather and relax outside. You could
also visit the Martinborough
Wine Centre, where you can taste many wines
from the region's wineries under one roof. Wines can also be purchased
here, then shipped to your home address.
The annual Toast Martinborough Festival is one of New Zealand's
premiere wine and food festivals. With 30 vineyards within walking
distance of the main street, the vibe. Around 10,000 wine lovers
make this event an annual pilgrimage, for international visitors
and kiwis. The event is usually held on the 3rd Sunday in November

This event, which is a twice annual family fun day, provides
funds for local community projects. 450 stallholders take part in
the Martinborough square and a one-block radius surrounding the
centre of the town. This great for kids with fun activities and
things to do dotted around. Admission is FREE.

The Tora Coastal Walk
The Tora Coastal Walk celebrated 17 years of operation in 2012 and
continues to be one of the best-loved privately run walks New Zealand
has to offer. It is situated in the Southern Wairarapa, just over
30 minutes drive from Martinborough. Visit

Greater Wellington Brewday
The Greater Wellington Brewday will be a showcase of 15 fantastic
breweries from Greater Wellington, many award winners. Set in a
rural setting close to square in Martinborough, the festival will
be an excellent opportunity to meet and ask questions of the many
